SAN ANDRÉS, COLOMBIA

When the plane began to approach our destination, I knew the reason about why San Andrés is known as the Sea of the 7 colors. I had had the opportunity to fly another places in the Caribbean, but the aerial view of this Colombian island is awsome.
When we was landing, we saw a bright sunshine, it was a indication a good start of the trip.
This island have 65,000 people that subsist mainly by fishing and tourism, has a century mix of cultures, since 1510 belonged to Spain, Panama, Guatemala, Nicaragua, was taken by English and Dutch people, until finally in 1822 passed to belong to Colombia.
The beach have many turistic places and you can go to beautiful places like:
Piscinita
Piscinita, a small natural pool surrounded by a wall of coral rock, where for a dollar you can do snorkel and see many fish that roam there.
la Cueva del Pirata Morgan
The legend says that in this place hid the treasures of the pirated most famous and feared in the area.
Johnny Cay: beautiful and peaceful place
After fifteen minutes in a boat, you can arrive to this place, a famous island because have wonderful beaches, the natives know to prepare a delicious coco loco and delicious cocktails.
Johnny Cay is a detination for sun, beach and music. The beach is perfect for walk around the island, also in some areas you can see exotic coral formations.
El Hoyo Soplador
At the southern end of the island, "el hoyo soplador", a hole that is far of the beach, and according with the touristic guide , "sprout enormous and impressive columns of water" when the tide is high. The truth is that we did not see anything so extraordinary.
Dance
After an afternoon in the beach and after you go the shopping, the night arrive to fill of music and dance the enviroment.
